Mutual Housing with Jeffrey Callison
June 7, 2011
In Sacramento, people need to earn almost $20 an hour to afford a two-bedroom apartment, yet the average hourly wage for area renters is a little more than $14.
Today on Insight, you'll hear about a local housing project that's trying to help. Mutual Housing provides training and mentoring as well as educational programs, community-building activities and services for residents and neighbors.
We'll talk about it with Rachel Iskow, Sacramento-Yolo Mutual Housing Association Executive Director, and Mindy Romero, the new chair of the Board of Directors of Mutual Housing and a resident of Tremont Green, one of Mutual Housing's communities in Yolo County.
