Saturday September 27, 2008-Annual Membership Meeting and Celebration
SMHA's 20th Annual Membership Meeting and Celebration at Southside Park. You are invited to watch youth and adults from mutual housing communities contribute to the entertainment, meet the SMHA Board of Directors, vote in new members of the Board, hear the annual program report and plans for next year, and, of course, enjoy a wonderful BBQ lunch. Youth activities include art contest, bounce tent, volleyball, face painting...and more. All SMHA resident members and our community supporters are invited.

Financial Education workshop series and Individual Development Account (IDA)
Financial Education workshop series and Individual Development Account (IDA) program classes are on-going throughout the year. Click here for the Financial Education Summer 2008 Workshop Schedule. The classes are held in mutual housing communities throughout Sacramento. Workshops on budgeting, basic banking, credit improvement and maintenance, money management, being a smart consumer, and building assets. In the Individual Development Account program, residents commit to saving a portion of their income in a segregated account to realize the dream of home-ownership, starting a business, or post-secondary education.
